1. Introduction

This is a summary page of my articles. My journey to find a credible explanation for digital cameras started in 2017. I spent hours creating and testing a consistent but simplified theory I could use in my articles. My goal was theoretically correct and user-friendly information. It is good to always read my "updated" articles first. I regularly update or remove older articles that are replaced by newer and more complete (accurate) information. I am also learning something new each day...

The above illustration categorizes my articles. It's a complex task to present technical information to a diverse photography audience. My goal is to provide theoretically correct, consistent, and user-friendly information. My articles are written for ALL photographers. It took hours to simplify complex theoretical concepts like photon-to-electron conversions, sensor saturation, SNR, image noise, and dynamic range. Basic theoretical concepts are challenged by social media advisors repeating popular "size and capture" (bigger is better) phrases while doing paid product presentations.
